UNION SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
The Sheet Metal Workers' Association Local 58 will award up to 10 Union Scholarships for year 2008 graduating high school seniors.
These scholarship awards will be for $1,000 each for up to ten (10) selected applicants. In the event of more than ten applicants, an independent council will decide the awardees.
To be eligible, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
> A year 2008 high school graduate
> Must attend an accredited institution of higher education in the
fall of 2008
> A parent or guardian who is and has been a member in good
standing of this Local for at least one year as of April 23, 2004
> Parent must be a member in good standing
> Members who are laid-off may retain their good standing by
paying reduced monthly Union dues of $16.00 per month while
on lay-off
(Children of Withdrawal-carded members are not eligible)
> If the parent/guardian has terminated their membership with
Local 58, the application will be null and void.
The applicant must submit
a completed application form
by May 7, 2008
Applications will be available as of:
In March of 2008
